The contents of this App is designed to offer visitors an insightful journey into the history of Merrion Square, it’s Art, Horticulture and surrounding buildings where some of Ireland’s most influential people lived and today where some of Ireland’s most important buildings stand. The App has two tours, The “Art in the Park” Tour is an 11 point tour around the park showcasing famous figures or events in Irish history through some of Ireland’s most famous sculpture pieces.
The “Around the Park” Tour takes you around the outside to Merrion Square and highlights some of the many famous buildings that encompass the park. These wonderful Georgian buildings have had famous Irish people as residents and some are still to this day some of the most important building in Ireland from the corridors of power at the Irish Parliament to the serenity of the National Gallery to the Natural History Museum.
